Mesh is printed on our Roland VG3-540 and finished with a glued or welded perimeter hem, at your choice (welding takes longer), and eyelets every 50 cm, which is the spacing that keeps a large surface from flapping. Printable width is up to 1.37 m per panel on this media, so wide surfaces are welded from several strips and we plan the welds around your artwork rather than through a logo. For long fence runs we split the design into numbered panels so the installation crew knows the order at a glance.

Mesh is the right material for tall facades under renovation, construction scaffolding, site fences and temporary structures exposed to wind over longer periods, where a solid banner would catch the wind and risk tearing loose or straining the mounting structure. We also recommend it for outdoor stands at events, where wind exposure is unpredictable and the structure needs to hold up for the entire duration of the event. For shop windows, covered entrances or indoor spaces where there is no wind pressure, frontlit remains the better choice, since it gives a denser image and fuller colors. For single-day events with moderate wind, a well-secured frontlit banner can be enough, but for installations that stay on scaffolding for several days or weeks, we always recommend mesh.

As with other banners, the Roland VG3-540 prints mesh without welding up to a width of 1.37 m on the shorter side, and in the online configurator you can choose a length of up to 10 m. If both sides of the banner exceed 1.37 m, the piece can no longer be calculated automatically online; we prepare a manual quote, with the weld between panels positioned outside the text or logo. The perimeter hem and grommets are included as standard, and the spacing between grommets can be adjusted if the mounting structure requires it, for example on scaffolding with irregular fixing points or large distances between posts. Tell us in advance how the banner will be mounted, so we can set the right spacing between grommets and the weld position, if needed. For very long construction-site fences made of several mesh panels placed side by side, we can keep the same continuous design across all the pieces, with clear alignment markers for installation.

Send the file as a PDF or in vector format, with all text converted to curves. Because of the material's perforation, avoid very thin lines and small fonts with fine detail, since the perforation can blur them visually from a short distance; we recommend thicker text and strong contrast between background and letters. If you use a raster image, calculate the resolution at the final size of the banner, not at a reduced scale enlarged afterward: for mesh mounted at height on a facade, the resolution can be lower than for a banner viewed up close, without the difference being visible from ground level. We work in CMYK, and very saturated colors may come out slightly different from what you see on a monitor. Leave at least 3 cm of free margin for important elements, an area where grommets may fall.
